NDDB’s Mansinh Institute Trains Dairy Professionals

The National Dairy Development Board’s (NDDB) Mansinh Institute of Training (MIT), Mehsana, recently organised a five-day training programme on “Hygiene and Sanitation for Dairy Plant”, bringing together professionals from AmulFed Dairy, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF) and the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. (Aavin).

The programme aimed to enhance technical knowledge and strengthen food safety practices in dairy processing plants through classroom sessions and practical exposure.

Participants received training on a wide range of topics, including the national and international dairy scenario, the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, personal and plant hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), food safety management systems, biofilms, cleaning chemicals, Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems, sanitation, fumigation, sterilisation and effective pest control in dairy plants.

As part of the programme, the participants also visited Banas Dairy, where they interacted with senior officials and gained first-hand exposure to modern dairy processing and sanitation practices.
