The Credit & Banking Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance Asia-Pacific (ICA-AP) organized a webinar on Tuesday on the theme “Financing Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Livelihoods”, bringing together cooperative leaders, banking professionals and sector experts from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The webinar focused on the critical role of cooperative financial institutions in promoting sustainable agriculture, strengthening rural livelihoods and expanding access to inclusive financial services.
Participants discussed innovative financing models, climate-resilient agricultural practices and the importance of supporting small and marginal farmers through cooperative credit systems.
The event also highlighted the contribution of cooperatives in advancing sustainable rural development and achieving long-term economic resilience.
