Rajasthan’s Cooperation Department has introduced a monthly ranking system for District Cooperative Consumer Wholesale Stores to improve efficiency, accountability, and consumer services.
Chairing a state-level review meeting, Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary, Cooperation, directed all General Managers to ensure effective implementation of government schemes in line with departmental benchmarks so that consumers receive maximum benefits.
He announced that stores would be evaluated every month on nine performance parameters, with the best-performing stores to be honoured at the end of the year.
The assessment will cover implementation of the RGHS scheme, availability of quality medicines, operation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras, business in consumer goods and millets, auditing, disposal of idle assets, governance, turnover and profit growth, office management, and business diversification.
Dr. Sharma said Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota, Udaipur, Barmer, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, CONFED Jaipur, Beawar and Hanumangarh emerged as top performers in the latest review.
Overall, 10 stores were rated ‘Excellent’, seven ‘Very Good’, eight ‘Good’, seven ‘Satisfactory’, and two ‘Unsatisfactory’. He urged underperforming stores to improve their performance before the next monthly review.
