During his tour to Prayagraj from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi made a surprise inspection of Gopiganj Sahakari Kray Vikray Samiti located in Sant Ravidas Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh last week.
The minister directed the Secretary to ensure farmers do not face any problem arising out of the shortage of urea. They should get urea at reasonable prices, he said.
Besides, the minister talked to farmers present on the occasion if they get urea at reasonable prices. All the farmers’ expressed their satisfaction at the functioning of the Samiti.
It is reported that the Agriculture Minister has cancelled the license of over 224 urea centers as they were found supplying low quality urea to the farmers.
Vikas Singh, Shyamadhar Yadav, Lalta Prasad and others were present during the inspection.
