Cooperatives including Bihar based marketing cooperative federation Biscomaun are coming forward to help the govt create a polythene free environment in Bihar. Biscomaun began a drive to distribute eco-friendly bags among farmers of the state on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Biscomaun will distribute one lakh eco-friendly bags among the farmers of the state.
Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh who shared the information through social media wrote, “On the occasion of Makar Sankranti Biscomaun has inaugurated a drive to make Bihar a polythene Free State and resolved to distribute one lakh eco-friendly bags among the farmers”.
Biscomaun chairman Sunil Kumar Singh, MD R.P. Singh, Bihar State Cooperative Bank Ramesh Chandra Chaubey, MD Chandrasekhar Singh and others were present on the occasion.
It may be noted that Biscomaun is providing urea to the farmers in Bihar at the cost of Rs 265 per bag.
